The light speed-constant. Or light is forced to travel by the thermal space time at the same upper limit speed or it is its inner energy that forces light to keep the same speed, even at different frequencies down to the Planck…. if nothing is obstructing the speed of light then it will not be a constant. If thermal space time is obstructing the speed of light and since the light is mass less,The obstruction must be Uniform.There are some fluctuations of the speed of light , see Rupert Sheldrake., but this is a side proof circumstantial of the thermal space time origin
THE SPEED OF LIGHT IS THE UPPER LIMIT OF THE CONDUCTIVITY OF MEDIA- THE THERMAL SPACE TIME.

So, yes, the speed of light is really slow to constitute the stable working of such a vast (infinite?) stuff like the Universe…. It is more like going on foot, or worse, a turtle walk… pathetic and not physically reliable for keeping together the Universe fabric of coordinated chain of Events ,even in the conditioned origination acausal procedure-process- of arising of the phenomena.The change in such an environment becomes random and can lead to completely different laws of origination, due to the slowness of the photons.The Light is Slow and it sucks.The Thermal component of the Universe- the thermal space time is the upper boundary limit to the speed of light, and this is a conductivity effect of the thermal space time. The Thermal space time has a resistance.Mind, there is no other space time, there is only the Thermal Space Time.
Now, Simplicius (Galilean dialogue starts..), you ask if there is something else which keeps the Universe well informed about itself, in real time and not waiting for some light to maybe come too late and be shed on its process ?
It is the QM non locality principle , dear Simplicius,which keeps informed the Universe and that is why the Universe is known to itself.. as explained in other WD posts.The non locality principle of information propagation at “supraluminal speed which is not a speed” of the QM shows that the information, attributing the information, of a given state at the given time is instantaneous.
THE STATE” DECLARES” HIS GIVEN SPACE TIME STRUCTURE when a collapse of the wave function occurs in the QFT.
